By: Contributor(s): Description: 4 pDDC classification:
  • CD I249 1 0013788
In: Summary: Transcripción del abstract original del autor: The aim of this paper is to present the recent evolutions in the field of regulation related to natural gas distribution by underground networks. At first, it takes particular care of giving some context elements allowing to understand why regulators have decided to precisely frame the gas distribution activity by prescribing to all network operators some rules related to safety, resumed in the form of a legal French decree dated the 13th of July 2003 prescribing the safety of combustible gas distribution by pipelines. The paper afterwards develops in detail the whole set of prescriptions applicable to gas pipeline operators as well as to their subcontractors. Three levels are clearly identified : - The decree defining the essential requirements in the field of safety, - The annexed specifications which go into more details for some requirements - The own internal rules of each operator on how to implement these requirements in situ.
