Resumen del autor, extraído del trabajo. Eco-terrorism is an international problem that has occurred fairly recently and it is growing rapidly. Its specific elements include victimization of innocent people in the name of the environment. There are several loosely connected groups and individuals responsible for eco-terrorism. The ideology is strongly pro-nature and anti-civilization. The nature of the criminal acts cause them to be difficult and expensive to investigate and law enforcement agencies have had only limited success. In spite of these problems there are a number of responses that can be undertaken by governments, law enforcement and industry in order to recognize the extent of the problem, initiate actions to deter the offences and prepare for a criminal attack.
