Resumen del autor, extraído del trabajo. DNV is serving the oil and gas industry with classification, certification and consultancy services. During the last period we have been facing major challenges, as a result of the industry’s restructuring and prioritisation of new geographical areas. At the same time, change in service offerings and application of leading IT technology have opened up for new ways of operations. As a response, a global resource networking model has been developed and implemented. This paper presents this model, and the experiences from the development and implementation process. The special aspects of a knowledge-based organisation are addressed in particular.
