Online resources: In: Summary: The wells drilling reports of in the SW of La Pampa Province, included lithologies attributed to the Neuquén Group, with descriptions that were not characteristic of such Group. Likewise, they were described outcrops of formations such as Allen and El Sauzal in the vicinity of those wells. With the objective of redefine the described stratigraphic column, the information was studied under two aspects: analysis of the diagraphs identifying lithological groups according to their geophysical behavior, and revision of the available cutting, ordering the same according to lithological packages. This allowed obtaining different geophysical response patterns for each particular lithological package. This information was correlated with the nearby outcrops, and attributing the geophysical behaviors and lithological characteristics to the Fm. El Sauzal, Fm. Allen and Gr. Neuquén. Likewise, two other behaviors were identified, one attributed to the basalts of El Corcovo, and another indeterminate one, of which no sufficient evidence to assign it stratigraphically. The bluish gray sandstones together with the laminated clays associated with these, green and dark blue, were attributed to the Fm. Allen, while the sandstones and overlying pink clay stones were assigned to the Fm. El Sauzal The top of Gr Neuquén was identified in all perforations by cutting and geophysical parameters
