Resumen The analysis of seismic attributes is a widely used tool for the identification of fault and fracture systems, which are of great importance for the prospection of oil in carbonates, as is the case of the Brazilian pre-salt. The Gato do Mato prospect is located in the upper reaches of the Santos Basin, one of the main hydrocarbon-producing regions in Brazil and is part of the pre-salt carbonate reservoirs. From a depth seismic volume, it was possible to identify characteristic seismic patterns of carbonate reservoirs such as: mounds, carbonate platform, debris and bottom lake. In the study area, the mound facies have the best permeability and porosity conditions. Due to the importance of understanding and analyzing seismic facies, we analyze structural seismic attributes such as: Eigen coherence, dip and azimuth and some types of curvatures. dip and azimuth attributes are calculated to track fault trends, while different types of curvatures are used to identify fracture intensity in mapped areas associated with deformations, fractures, and certain types of carbonate structures. The Eigen coherence contributes to the extraction of discontinuities from the seismic data related to faults and fractured zones with greater definition and better noise removal. The Eigen coherence attribute helped in the identification of high discontinuities in the proximity of the main fault where the main mounds of the area are found. These were identified both in section and on the map. On the other hand, the seismic attributes that provided the best response were the most positive curvature, the most negative curvature, maximum curvature and curvedness, better defining the main faults, the limits of the carbonate mounds and highlighting the zones with more fracture intensity. Thus, the seismic characterization of these structures contributes to reduce the uncertainties related to this type of reservoir, such as, for example, delimiting more fractured areas that will serve as input for modeling the petrophysical properties of the reservoir.
