Resumen Since the beginning of the exploration of the Vaca Muerta Formation as an unconventional Shale reservoir more than 10 years ago, focus has been placed on the importance of interdisciplinary work and integration at different work scales. One of the most important challenges of regional studies at the basin scale is to achieve adequate detail to take practical decisions that make development projects viable. The objective of this work is to present a regional basin scale model, based on a detailed chronostratigraphic scheme, on which different key properties of rocks and fluids were mapped, in a study area of 20.000 km2 covering most of the Vaca Muerta play. On a first stage, based on previous 3D and 2D seismostratigraphic interpretations, detailed correlation of 700 vertical wells distributed in the basin was consolidated. In this correlation, a chronostratigraphic scheme was elaborated for the Tithonian-Valanginian interval, with a single nomenclature for the entire company and that includes three different hierarchies. The highest resolution correlation has 38 intervals and is suitable for block scale analysis. At this scale, structural and isopachic maps of each interval were generated. Different rock and fluid reservoir properties were integrated into this framework with unified criteria such as total organic carbon (%TOC), thermal maturity reached by the rock, oil properties (°API), petrophysical properties (total porosity), among others. As a result of this second stage, basin scale maps of these properties were generated for seven potential target intervals within the Vaca Muerta Formation
