| Resumen | Axens is proud to present here a unique path to produce renewable diesel and jet from lignocellulosic biomass: Atol® chain which includes the Atol® technology. The purpose here is to associate various technologies that exists in Axens portfolio in order to have a unique path to produce renewable diesel and jet from lignocellulosic biomass. Each block forming the Atol® chain has operating references in the oil industry : - FuturolTM : production of bio-ethanol by enzymatic conversion - Atol® technology: production of bio-ethylene by dehydration of bio-ethanol - PolynapthaTM/DimersolTM : Oligomerization of bio-ethylene to produce complete range of jet and diesel Futurol™ technology focuses on the production of 2nd generation (2G) bio-ethanol from various biomasses. Atol® is a technology for the most profitable production of polymer grade bio-ethylene by dehydration of 1st and/or 2nd generation renewable ethanol. The bio-ethylene produced can be integrated in partial and/or total replacement of fossil hydrocarbon based ethylene in various downstream polymerization installations without requiring modifications. Polynaphtha™ is an Axens oligomerization technology which transform olefins contained in light cracked cuts into heavier C6+ olefins. In that particular case the technology can be fed by bio-olefins. The olefin fractions obtained can be used as high octane blending stocks for the gasoline pool and as high smoke point blending stocks for kerosene, jet fuel and diesel fractions. The adjustable product pattern ranges from 100% gasoline to 70% middle distillates. |
