Resumen The objective of the current work is to update the hydrocarbon migration and charge model of a group of fields located in the northeastern flank of Neuquén Basin, northwards from Colorado River, with focus on Centenario Formation reservoirs. The aforementioned model is based on studies performed previously by several authors and is enriched by recently acquired subsurface data. The studied region is known informally as Río Colorado Area and comprises a pool of fields that produces oil and associated gas from a shallow clastic sedimentary wedge, located in the basin margin. Accumulations present two main reservoirs of Early Cretaceous age that belong to the Centenario Formation. These reservoirs are named Lower Centenario Member and Upper Centenario Member. Hydrocarbons are stored mainly in stratigraphical traps (erosional truncations) and are geochemically linked to Vaca Muerta Formation. Regional geochemical data allowed to establish that the source rock "kitchen" would be located 70 km south-southwestwards from the studied area. Consequently, accumulations could be explained briefly by a regional lateral migration combined with a vertical migration along the Río Colorado Fault System and/or a remigration by hydrocarbon spillage of the Señal Picada Field, which is located southwards from the Río Colorado Area. First exploratory and development works performed in the area, provided data to support that the regional lateral migration arrived to the studied region from the south-southwest as a front, with a possible main entry point located in the southeast flank of Río Colorado Area. Furthermore, the aforementioned works also supported a fill-and-spill model for trap charge. Subsequent studies, gave new data to support another entry point of relevance for the regional lateral migration front (in the west-northwest flank of Río Colorado Area) and highlighted the importance of the Jagüel Casa de Piedra-Cerro Huanul Sur Fault System as a vertical migration pathway. Finally, geochemical studies performed in oils produced from JCPS.x-1001 and JCP.a-2019 wells, revalidate the theory that the hydrocarbons of the studied area are linked to Vaca Muerta Formation. Moreover, the geochemical data obtained from the latter well supports the theory that a remigration process could have occurred and probably related to the Jagüel Casa de Piedra-Cerro Huanul Sur Fault System
