| Resumen | Cutral Có Block - Huincul’s Dorsal, 64 years of production, new interpretations, new paradigms Oil activity in the Cutral Có area, in recent years has allowed to know in more detail the geology of this part of the Huincul High. With 3D seismic surveys drilled deeper, and reached the productive basement (Huechulafquen Fm), which together with the registration of more modern electric logs have enabled progress in the description and geological re-interpretation. Thus, a distinctive behavior observed Fm Huechulafquen in Gamma-ray profiles, which allows productive Precuyanos distinguish overlying deposits. These deposits in turn differed in their quality of reservoirs, which is reflected in their response profiles Gamma Ray Acoustic and Elastic Impedance with implications for identifying them in 3D seismic. It could also be concluded from this analysis that the oil production of this historic field comes from the Challacó formation sandstones that has being eroded in a north-south direction within the block and not from the Lajas or Lotena Fm as had been holding. |
