Resumen Transcripción del resumen del autor. Geochemical studies provide information on the concentrations and spatial distributions of certain geochemical constituents, such as CaO, MgO, Al2O3, SiO2 and K2O, might be indicators for the reservoir quality. Concentrations and distributions of geochemical constituents help in classification and origin determination of reservoir rocks. They also help in assessing the evolution of petrophysical properties based on their concentration, which has an important impact mainly on the generation of secondary porosity. Based on petrophysical characteristics, fracture presence, cutoff threshold values, in addition to geochemical concentrations and distributions, this study will aim to target the reservoir quality and its expansion. As a result, occurrence of dissolution is likely for certain minerals such as K-Feldspar which constitutes one of the main targets in this investigation. It will lead to identify the potentially productive net pay zone and non-productive intervals with regard to the total reservoir gross pay zone. Sustainability comes from the use of Geochemical Logging Tool logs (G.L.T.), which coupled with geochemical analysis related to petrophysical characteristics, ensures the access to some reservoir relevant information. Based on the case study, the objectives will include the qualitative and quantitative distribution of geochemical constituents and their impact on reservoir, the assessment of the net pay zone with regard to the gross pay zone, and the enhancement of reservoir productivity by selective reservoir stimulation.
