| Resumen | Transcripción del abstract original del autor: The IGU Strategic Topic WOC 8.2 Sustainable Development has been created in order to evaluate the position of natural gas in the situation where sustainable development and sustainability have become part of the international lexicon. Based on the results of a questionnaire and input of the working group members a document has been prepared sketching elements that can be important for the natural gas industry and sustainable development. An enumeration of opportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses is drawn up. WOC 8 Strategic Topic 8.2 Sustainable Development also participated in the work * the IGU brochure "Towards Sustainable Development - a better future" * development of a "Sustainable Development - IGU Code of Conduct" At the World Gas Conference 2003 WOC 8 Strategic Topic 8.2 Sustainable Development will organise a round table discussion and a technical forum on sustainable development. |
