| Resumen | Transcripción del abstract original del autor: The Sakhalin II Project is a major new hydrocarbon supply source for the Asia Pacific region the key features of this mega project are: ; Located in Russia, the hydrocarbons are geographically close to the key Asian markets of Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China. ; The huge gas resource base at Sakhalin will guarantee LNG supplies to the key Asian markets for at least 20 years. With 24 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) of gas in place - there is enough gas to supply the current global LNG demand for four years. ; A two train LNG plant will have annual capacity of 9.6 million tonnes, with each train having an annual capacity of 4.8 million tonnes, making them the largest LNG trains ever built. ; Sakhalin Energy Investment Company (SEIC) shareholders are Shell Sakhalin Holdings B.V.; Mitsui; and Diamond Gas Sakhalin, a Mitsubishi company. Together the parent companies have an unrivalled track record in developing LNG projects in the Asia Pacific region during the past 30 years. All of these features make the Sakhalin II project the natural strategic partner in Asia. |
