Resumen Transcripción del abstract original del autor: The new regulations to control greenhouse gas emissions in the industrialized countries obligate fuel producers to look for different ways of making clean fuels. The most promising technology to satisfy the high demand for clean fuels is gas to liquids technology via Fischer-Tropsch (F-T). More than 50 1012CM (Cubic Meter) of gas reserves located in zones that are difficult to reach or far from potential markets are potentially suitable for monetization by GTL Technology, which could meet a significant fraction of the world's fuels and chemicals demand. With its continuous development, the production will reach 2 106 b/d by 2015. The most important growth in GTL products demand is forecasted to occur in US, EU, Japan, and Australia. The traditional GTL suppliers will continue to ensure an important share in the GTL products supply mainly jet fuel and diesel. New suppliers are possibly required in order to meet the world demand by 2015. The main scenarios for the future outlook of international GTL marketing, with technical, economic and environmental parameters are discussed. The application of GTL technology in Algeria and how to integrate a GTL plant with the existing infrastructure will be examined. This paper also discusses, whether, Algeria and other gas producing countries are ever likely to become major GTL products exporters.
