Resumen	The Tácata Field lies some 30 km west of the prolific El Furrial trend of oil fields in the Eastern Venezuela Basin, and was discovered in 1997. It lies within a recently active triangle zone and presents significant problems to seismic imaging. Pre-stack depth migration and map migration techniques have been employed, the latter with particular success. The seismic interpretation is constrained within the framework of a three dimensional balanced structural model.
