One of the great challenges facing the development of unconventional reservoirs by drilling horizontal wells in factory mode is defining the optimum spacing between wells and stimulation design that allow maximizing the volume of hydrocarbon recovered while minimizing development cost. To answer this challenge, there is a need to develop low-cost and a simple logistics methodologies that allow the analysis of interference between wells and thus, contribute to the understanding of the optimal spacing with a given stimulation design. Faced with this problem, an oil geochemistry study was performed in a group of wells located in the Embayment sector of the Neuquén basin where a comparation between reservoir geochemistry and production allocation studies against other monitoring techniques like microseismic, tracers, etc. Thus, 43 oil samples belonging to 7 wells that navigate 3 productive levels were analyzed by oil gas chromatography technique and the oil fingerprints patterns allow us to characterize oils from each navigation level and their subsequent use in interferences between them and thus be able to establish an optimal spacing between wells. The study allowed to observe that the wells do not have significant interferences = Simposio de Desarrollo de Vaca Muerta
