DESCRIPCIÓN DEL YACIMIENTO PROA, RESERVORIOS VOLCÁNICOS DE LA FORMACIÓN PALMAR LARGO EN EL BLOQUE SURUBÍ, FORMOSA, ARGENTINA - 16 p. ; 193-208
The Proa oil field located in Formosa province, Lomas de Olmedo sub-basin in the Cretaceous basin, has very prolific wells (with up 700 m3/d to initial production test). The origin of this oil field is linked to volcanic processes in a subaqueous environment of the Upper Cretaceous, andesites/ basandesites of Palmar Largo formation. These andesites/basandesites give rise volcanic cones and have facies with vesicles that originate an excellent porosity of up to 35%.
