We analyze the genesis and tectonic evolution of a structural feature that crosses the Loma Campana block (Southern Flank of Cuenca Neuquina) with a N-S direction. The position of this feature, classified in this paper as a lineament, coincides with the Auqulico Formation pinch-out at depth, as well as with a zone of structural style change in the block, being normal to the east while reverse westward. For this purpose, the structural restoration of five seismic sections, perpendicular to the lineament, was carried out, with a software that allows us to analyze the evolution of the structures in a sequential way. The model considers geomechanical parameters and decompaction. Deep well data were also used to confirm the areal distribution of the interpreted formations in the seismic sections. It is interpreted that this lineament corresponds to the deformation front of the Vaca Muerta Formation lower section, in response to NW-SE oriented compression that affected the entire area since the middle-upper Jurassic, producing detachments within the Auquilco, La Manga and Tordillo Formations, generating an incipient wedge structure with the presence of thrusts and backthrusts in its blind spots. In this contractional framework, the lineament was controlled by the high mechanical contrast in the pinch-out of the evaporitic facies of the Auquilco Formation.
