The study area is located on the northern flank of the Golfo San Jorge Basin in Cerro Dragon field, operated by Pan American Energy. The objective of the project was to generate a geocellular model that describes the behavior of the reservoirs during water injection and simulates polymer injection (thermally activated particle). The model included fluvial reservoirs of the Fm Comodoro Rivadavia and upper levels of the Fm Mina del Carmen. The workflow consisted on the interpretation of 3D seismic, structural modeling, reservoirs correlations, petrophysical analysis, determination of facies and properties population. The static model was enhanced during the history matching and a current operations conditions case was established. Given the complexity of fluvial reservoirs and the lack of information that this entails, an acceptable history matching was achieved. This model was used to calculate the volume of thermally activated particle to be injected and to simulate the result of the chemical treatment
