Current solutions and challenges in depth imaging for complex geology areas Today, depth imaging is almost a routine in the E&P industry. An exploration or a development well is not typically approved if it is not supported by seismic data migrated in depth and properly calibrated with wells if they exist in the study area. In this paper, I describe workflows currently in use for anisotropic depth imaging. I will explain the current available solutions and limitations of the methods used in the industry. The challenges in this important topic will be discussed along with a brief overview of the depth imaging emergent technologies. These topics will be illustrated with model and real data set.
