Effect of water on steel corrosion under supercritical CO2 conditions - jun. 2011 - 7 p. ; 62-68

Transcripción del resumen del autor. Rotating cage corrosion experiments were performed on two carbon steels (CS) and three stainless steels (SS) in supercritical carbon dioxide (SC CO2) and different amounts of water at 50, 80, 110, and 130 °C. Water phases in equilibrium with SC CO2 cause high corrosion rates on CS (5 to 15 mm/y) but only 0.3 to 0.8 mm/y on 13Cr SS. Duplex SS and austenitic CrNi SS were <0.1 mm/y at 110 °C.
