Outcrop to subsurface characterization of the Lewis shale turbidite sands
Hurley, Neil F. Slatt, Roger M. Parker, Richard
Outcrop to subsurface characterization of the Lewis shale turbidite sands - 2000 - 5 p. ; 13-17
A joint academia-industry research consortium is evaluating the gas-producing potential of deep-water sands within the Cretaceous Lewis Shale of the Greater Green River Basin of Wyoming. In addition to being an easily accessible outcrop analog to deep-water sands in the Gulf of Mexico and elsewhere, the Lewis Shale is an active exploration target.
