Corrosion inhibition of carbon steel in cooling water - mar. 2010 - 6 p. ; 60-65

Transcripción del resumen del autor. Solitary and binary inhibition effects or ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3) + calcium nitrate [Ca(NO3)2·4 H2O] (ACN) and polyphosphate for carbon steel in simulated cooling water were studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and electrochemical polarization to determine their synergistic inhibition properties. Inhibition efficiency increases with increasing polyphosphate, while ACN added to the solution is kept constant. Inhibition efficiency is improved up to 84% for 40 ppm polyphosphate along with 2, 000 ppm ACN.
