An investigation was conducted on the impact of heat treatment of synthetic polymers on their performance as calcium carbonate (CaCO3) inhibitors in an aqueous system. Part I presented the literature search performed prior to testing and results. It was found that heat treatment of polymers has various effects on their inhibition qualities.
