Transcripción del abstract original del autor: In the 20th century, the fossil fuel such as coal and petroleum oil contributed to the greatest extent for the modernization of human life by generating electric power and vehicle engine power, which has caused global warming by CO2 emission and air pollution. The reduction of CO2 emission is the most important theme to prevent global warming. It will take a long time to cover major human demand by non-CO2 energy i.e. nuclear power and renewable energy such as solar energy, windmill, etc. Natural gas is a favorable primary energy from view point of environment concerning to the global warming(less CO2 emission), clean air, etc. although generally speaking the natural gas reservoir is far from the consumer and transporting remote natural gas to consumer is costly due to its gaseous volume. LNG is one of the measures to transport, widely accepted by the consumers, especially succeeded to reduce the air pollution by the electrical power generation units around Tokyo Bay. Other than LNG, recently process technology can provide several gas to liquid conversion technologies such as synthetic oil, methanol, DME. This liquid conversion will contribute; Less CO2 emission against the global warming, Less air pollution to meet to Say No Diesel vehicles campaign by Tokyo Metropolitan Government in 1999, in the whole supply chain from gas production to the demand, including production unit, liquefaction plant, tanker transportation, receiving terminal, distribution and consumer. The cost of each supply chain would exceed the current cost level to some extent, however, consumer and/or government will need to pay such cost to save the global environment.
