Transcripción del abstract original del autor: Promising trends of modern flow measurement equipment based on Doppler laser anemometry methods are discussed. A novel laser flowmeter is presented for metering of gas flow at pipelines and gas mains. A new physical ideas have been applied at the device. Composition and special constructive features of the developed instrumentation complex hardware and software, its metrology characteristics and graduation means are discussed. Some applications at Russian gas industry are discussed. The test results are given. The main components of the device include: electrooptic anemometer, integrated sensor-flowmeter, optical port and software installed on the data processing computer. The device is designed to measure gas flow rates in the pipelines from 300 up to 1400 mm in diameter at the flow velocity from 0.5 up to 20 m/sec, pressure up to 16 MPa and temperature from minus 20°C up to 40°C. Special software calculates the flow rate from flow velocity, measured by the laser-Doppler anemometer included into the flow meter and the pipeline data entered into the program.
