The development of this Project in different stages is described in the following topics: Project History Energy Sector Development in Brazil and Bolivia Original Project Target Market Open Season: the Potential Shippers, the Process, Tariff and Competitiveness Engineering Funding Regulatory Framework Conclusions This work reflects a Transporter’s approach. It is the result of the authors’ background in TBG and in Petrobras (in the roles of both shipper and major sponsor of TBG) It shows the reaction of the Brazilian natural gas market to the Bolivian gas supply and mainly the reasons for the expansion of the pipeline to be so dependent of the Electrical Power Sector in Brazil.
