Because of the number of difficulties faced mainly in evaluation,reservoirs with such petrophysical characteristics were not enough studied in the past. With Gas market grow, cost optimisation in drilling, and a substantial improvement in well logging. particularly with the latest imaging tools, this kind of reservoirs became often economically profitable to develop. The studied formation being presented is the Ordovician Hamra Quartzite ,well developed in the Algerian Sahara. More than one hundred meters thick, with porosity ranging between 2 and 6 pu. Producing gas with condensate through natural fractures mainly. This paper describes method used to locate, quantify and stimulate natural fractures through the analysis of an acoustic image of the wellbore, the reflectivity of the Stoneley sonic wave, and a temperature.
