Resumen del autor, extraído del trabajo. The current challenge to Fuels R&D is to continue to support the ever-increasing global demand by consumers for mobility whilst tackling the public desire for clean air, and the societal need to achieve sustainability. Shell has always been at the forefront of these issues, accepting our environmental responsibilities. The greatest reduction in emissions is achieved through the integration of advances in vehicle technology with the development of fuels that support the new technology, thereby optimising the environmental benefits whilst continuing to support its improved dynamic performance. Shell has a record second to none in the development and introduction of advanced fuels to enable the fullest benefits of new technology to be realised. = WPC (16th.)
