The integration of sour crude processing and sulfuric-coke-fuelled power generation - 5 p. - Chi Gang, Ren .
Resumen del autor, extraído del trabajo. Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Co., LTD (ZRCC) is a listed company with SINOPEC as its majority shareholder. In the 9th Five-Year, after implementation of the expansion program, which was focused on debottlenecking of existing facilities and additional sour crude processing capacity, ZRCCs overall crude processing capacity was brought to 12 Mt/a by the end of 1999 and is going to be further expanded to 16 Mt/a in the 10th Five-Year period, with 8 and 12 Mt/a of respective capacity for sour crude handling. In terms of overall process flow; the reformer was revamped to produce high-octane unleaded motor gasoline and large volumes of aromatics products. Diesel is hydrotreated to meet the low sulfur requirement. In terms of gas oil processing, more high quality middle distillate is produced and excellent feedstock is provided to the FCC unit through adding capacity to the hydrocracker and construction of a grassroot gas oil hydrodesulfurization unit. With regard to high sulfur residue, the delayed coker process was selected after multi-case comparison, combined with considerations to the amount of investment. In order to solve the problem of high sulfur coke outlet and increased steam and power consumption in the refinery, 2*220 t/h CFB boilers and the associated power generators were built to partially digest the produced high sulfur coke and solve the environment protection problem. Therefore, better economic results were achieved through this technical integration between sour crude processing and high sulfur coke power generation. = WPC (16th.)
