Resumen del autor, extraído del artículo. The Petrobras Poster highlights the Roncador Field development, its deepwater production records, and the associated technological key issues. Discovered in October 1996, by the wildcat well RJS-436, the Roncador Field is located in ultra deep waters, ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 meters, in Campos Basin with 3 billion barrels oil equivalent total reserves. The development plan will be in phases, besides the Early Production System that is already producing. This System is operating from the host unit Seillean, an FPSO chartered by Petrobras, having a capacity to produce and process up to 20,000 bpd and store up to 306,000 barrels. The first phase came on stream in April 2000, and comprises the production semi-submersible P-36, installed at 1,360 meters water depth, equipped with processing facilities for 180,000 bpd. The oil production is transferred to the FSO unit P-47, located at 815 meters water depth. As a pioneer on the use of floating production concept, during the last 22 years, Petrobras has always emphasized innovation and improvement based on its operational experience. Technologies such as: Drill Pipe Riser for 2,000meters water depth; Dynamically Positioned FPSO; Valves and hydraulic actuators for operation in 2,000 meters of water; Steel Catenary Risers; Flexibles Risers (10") for 1,500 meters and flowlines for 2,000 meters water depth; Vertical Loading Anchors and Polyester Ropes are displayed. = WPC (16th.)
