The study of the properties of shales through nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) data is becoming increasingly relevant. The advance in acquisition, processing and interpretation methodologies of T2 (transverse relaxation time) and T1 (longitudinal relaxation time) data helps define the characterization of the poral system. The analysis of T1T2 maps give information of the fluids and the interaction with the poral system.Each hydrogen present in the fluids of the formation, whether it be in water or in hydrocarbons, can be defined by means of T1T2 maps. According to the where the signal is located on the map, it is possible to infer the type of fluid (water, gas, oil, bitumen) and the type of host pore (clay bound water, water in inorganic pores, hydrocarbons in organic or inorganic pores, etc.). This information is valuable not only from the point of view of avolumetric quantification, but also because it allows to inferthe production of fluids. However, for a better understanding and validation of the interpretation of the NMR signals, these should be interpreted alongside other data sources, like volumetric petrophysical interpretation and core data.In the present study, data of three wells drilled in the peak oil window from the Vaca Muerta formation were evaluated. The multivariate analysis allowed to characterize and predict part of the pore and fluid system in function of mineralogical variation. Comparing the results with well-logs (T1T2 NMR and Dielectric) suggests influx and efflux of fluids in one of the wells.
