Online resources: In: Summary: The area of interest on which this paper is centered is located on the northeastern edge of the Neuquén basin. The main reservoir is made up of the sandy facies of Centenario Superior formation, which comprise extensive fluvio-deltaic to shallow marine deposits. To improve the fieldś exploitation, it was proposed the implementation of Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) technologies. This methodology consists in adding high molecular weight polymers to the injection water, thus improving the oil-water mobility ratio. Focused on this objective, it was decided to carry out the interval characterization through a multiscale study, based on the integration of the data from the core, logs and well tests along with the regional 3D seismic interpretation. Therefore, a conceptual geological model was built at a semi-regional scale of the deposition system, it allowed to determine the spatial and vertical distribution of the analyzed units considering, the general paleontology and its variations with time. Reservoir heterogeneity was evaluated on smaller scale to define lateral and vertical connectivity to improve predictions and reduce uncertainty about the extent and orientation of accumulations, as well as understand their impact on fluid dynamics. This 3D model was the basis for analyzing, through dynamic simulation, several response scenarios to find the best pattern arrangement of injector-producer, as well as the best location and interchange of the modular polymer plants (PIU’s) for the implementation of an adequate development plan. Different areas were evaluated and ranked in order to select, initially, those that increase oil recovery with low uncertainties, as well as maximizing oil production while minimizing the risks of the project.
