Accelerated test protocols like ISO 6509 are increasingly utilized to assess performance of brass alloys, but the highly aggressive test conditions are far from those found in real plumbing systems. Here, the results of the ISO 6509 test are compared whit those from a longer-term test, which subjected brasses to real potable water
