During his recent trip to Turkey, the head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller, discussed not only the transit of Russian gas to southern Europe, but also gas supplies to Lebanon and Israel via Turkey. Miller also offered to be a partner in building a gas pipeline from the Black Sea port of Samsun, where the recently opened Blue Stream subsea pipeline ends, to Ceyhan on the Mediterranean coast.
