Transcripción del abstract original del autor: PT Badak is meeting the challenges of the LNG market, by significantly increasing its available spare capacity at the Bontang LNG Plant. To realize its vision, PT Badak formed the inter Departmental Reliability Improvement Team (RIT) in 1996. The team identifies the reliability issues, prioritizes the issues, makes plans for reliability improvement to eliminate each reliability issue, and monitors the implementation of each action plan. The LNG losses due to problems with the Multi Component Refrigerant (MCR) Compressor, gas-treating unit, MCR inter after cooler, and the Cooling water distribution problems (Surface condenser leaks and Scaling problems) have been significantly reduced .As a result, the production increases and up time availability have improved from 90 to over 96 %, a world class level. This paper will attempt to share the lessons PT Badak has learned in improving the reliability strategy of Asset Management.
