Technical efforts for increasing ugs efficiency and economical results

By: Contributor(s): Description: 12 pDDC classification:
  • CD I249 1 0013788
In: Summary: Transcripción del abstract original del autor: This paper presents the recent efforts carried out by Gaz De France to optimise the management of its whole set of underground gas storage facilities from the technical and economical point of view, according to the two complementary approaches: - the first one consists in minimizing the operating costs while guaranteeing satisfaction of a global need of working gas and of peak flow according to various climatic risks and on various scales of time; - the second one consists in refining the estimation of the maximum peak flow available at any time and according to all possible operational configurations, by coupling a reservoir simulator with an accurate modelling of the above surface equipments of each storage. This module will be in the long term integrated in the technico-economical optimisation tool of the first approach. This improvement of the tools is done with an upgrade of the information system, giving access continually to the whole available measurements.
