Resumen del autor, extraído del trabajo. Political and economic security of the host countries is a key argument for foreign financier. Investor companies are expected to evaluate economic profits of each project and make sure of their benefits. Moreover, they try to secure their assets. In this paper I intend to perform an analysis of some leading oil and gas projects in Iran, comparing them to similar cases in the region and to assess the political, economic and legal environment of the country for implementing the energy projects. For this reason, it is attempted to recount advantages of choosing Iran as a location for foreign investments in the oil and gas sector, and to review the legal framework, economic advantages and political support in Iran for attraction and protection of foreign investment.
